Guess what? This weather is crazy! From now on, I’m going to stop questioning it and start enjoying Mother Nature’s spontaneity… with a smile. Today’s temperature reached as high as 74 °F and I was absolutely pleased. When you stay by several beaches, you appreciate days where you can actually play in the water rather than freeze in it. Well while many are still freezing, I had the opportunity to go out on the marina to take in the weather.

To achieve this look, all you will need is a simple button down checkered shirt that is form fitting and with buttoned arm flaps. I recently picked this shirt up at H&M a few days ago. After pondering for a week, I decided it would make for a great outfit. This shirt comes in many colors and varies with its checkered size and styles. Normally I wear I size 6, but to make sure it was fitted… I purchased a size 2.
A-line skirts are one of my favorites… pleats on the other hand, are slowly working on me. The pleats on this skirt starts out small and becomes ruffled as it falls to the hem line— which stops at the calf and even has a nice flowing movement while you walk or as the wind catches it. I received this skirt as a gift from a client last season by Joe Fresh and it doesn’t look as through the skirt is available anymore. No worries. I spotted a similar skirt just like this one at F21 several days ago in black. Also, I picked up these cute cute cute feathered heels because they were just too sexy. They are the perfect height to give your calves muscles that extra boost. They are available in black and taupe color.
The earrings, I got from Francesca’s and the bracelet is from Stylexchange of Charleston.
If you watched my Instagram stories on my personal account, @nadiyahpowerhouse, you would seen my Me Day story (on Saturday) and my busy Sunday afternoon. As I talked on, I showed you the prep work for the props/accessories that I used. I needed something in my outfit that had color, since my outfit was monotone. I purchased some this simple cotton fabric and cut it into the shape of a mound. I cut most of the frayed edges off, but kept some on for an imperfect look.
