NADIYAH “POWERHOUSE” is a former Fashion Week model and actress currently residing/working in Atlanta, GA as a Visual Fashion Merchandiser and aspiring designer. During her 10 year career, she was known as a “powerhouse” on the runway and has since retired from modeling to acting. She has appeared in shows like ABCs, Army Wives, Becky and Barry, and other Indy films throughout the South East (featured on iMDb).
In 2012, Nadiyah created sheheartsthat.com as an online portfolio for photography and makeup tips. Currently, after its recent transformation (2013) she now uses sheheartsthat to speak about all things us girls (not to exclude my fabulous boys) love and spend time speaking about. Her interest for blogging starting in 2003 when the internet started to provide many uses other than just surfing the web. With the passion of blogging, came the love of web designing. The added bonus, behind your blogging career, was making long lasting friendships with people around the world from LA to Brazil and all the way to Tokyo and Shanghai.
In our generation, we have retired to old way of prepping makeup and fashion. Old skool charm still reigns in our culture, but our generation reinvented the definition of style. As a child, she loved drawing and putting things together and taking them apart. This is where the art of crafting came to play. Not your Grandmother’s way of crafting, Nadiyah presents a modern twist of all her crafts that everyone falls in love with. One of her many passions is traveling. Also known as the “military brat” by some, she embraced the idea of moving from city to city and meeting new people.
